Having grown up in the Goldfields, Ben gained broad and varied experience from working in the families mining, pastoral and retail businesses from an early age. Having managed Northfields (W.A.) Pty Ltd since its inception in 1994, he has extensive experience in problem solving, managing finances and communication, and has continued his professional development by attaining his building Practitioners registration. Ben has also held many leadership roles within the community and is a strong supporter of many community groups. Ben’s commitment to Safety, Customer Service and Quality are foremost in all areas of Northfields (W.A.) Pty Ltd operations, and paramount to him in his role as CEO.
Jim also grew up in the Goldfields and has been involved in the mining and pastoral industries from an early age. He has had extensive experience in operating and servicing all types of machinery and worked in many remote mine sites prior to starting Northfields (W.A.) Pty Ltd in 1994. His experience and interest in machinery and servicing aligns with his current role of asset manager, and his experience is invaluable in the management of breakdowns and trouble shooting in remote areas. After relocating to Perth from Leinster, Jim undertook night classes in helicopter pilot theory and passed his helicopter flight test in 2016.
Alex has worked for Northfields (W.A.) Pty Ltd since October 2002 and has a broad knowledge of civil construction, building and the mining industry. He is a registered builder and has extensive knowledge of concrete mix designs and batching concrete in remote areas. In addition, Alex has experience, training, and skills in many areas, including operating machinery, asbestos removal and tagging of electrical and fire extinguishing equipment. He has a strong affiliation with the local community, having been a shire councillor for the last 10 years, and a life member of the Leinster golf club. Having worked his way up from the project floor to senior management, Alex has developed a wealth of knowledge and skills that have enabled him to manage projects from the design stage through to completion.
